Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data EarnInterest.com collects, why, and what rights you have. We keep it short because we collect very little. We never ask for account numbers or Social Security numbers.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Dominet BV, Panamalaan 7D, 1019 AS Amsterdam, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 75389517. Because we are based in the Netherlands, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. Our readers are mostly in the United States, and we respect the rights that US state privacy laws give residents, such as the right to know, correct and delete their data.
You can reach us about privacy through our contact form by choosing the topic "Privacy request".
What we collect and why
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Contact form: your name, email address, topic and message, the page you sent it from, your browser type, and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address used only to stop spam | To read and answer your message | Your consent when you send the form, and our legitimate interest in answering questions | Deleted automatically 12 months after you send it, unless needed longer for a legal claim |
| Outbound clicks: the institution, the page you came from, the product category, a click ID and sub-ID, the time, your country (worked out from your connection), your browser type and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address | To know which pages are useful and to match commissions paid by institutions | Legitimate interest in running and funding the site | Deleted automatically after 24 months. We don't store your name or your actual IP address with clicks, only a one-way hash that we use to filter out bots and repeat clicks |
| Google Analytics 4: with your consent, pages viewed, clicks on partner links, how you found us, device and browser type, approximate location (country and city), and a random ID stored in the _ga cookies. Without consent, only cookieless, anonymous measurement pings with no ID and no cookies | To understand which pages help people and improve the site | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time under Cookie settings | 14 months in Google Analytics. The _ga cookies expire after up to 2 years, or when you withdraw consent |
| Technical logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested, time | Security, abuse prevention and fixing errors | Legitimate interest in keeping the site secure | Short term, according to our hosting provider's log retention |
What we don't collect
We never ask for account numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords or balances, and we never hold money. Accounts are between you and the institution you choose, under the institution's own privacy policy. We don't sell personal data, and we don't use it for automated decisions about you.
Cookies
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. We use Google Consent Mode. Until you choose, and if you click Reject, Google Analytics sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser: it only sends cookieless, anonymous measurement pings (for example that a page was viewed or a partner link was clicked, plus technical details such as browser type), which carry no cookie ID and are not linked to you or to your other visits. Analytics cookies are only set after you click Accept. We use no advertising cookies.
- Essential: ei_consent (browser storage and a first-party cookie, 12 months) remembers your cookie choice. It needs no consent.
- Analytics, only with your consent: Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and _ga_5S9FXKG3XL (first-party cookies, up to 2 years) to count visits and see which pages and partner links are used. Google Signals and advertising features are off.
You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent removes the Google Analytics cookies from this site and returns it to cookieless pings only.
Who processes data for us
- Vercel Inc. hosts the website and keeps technical logs.
- Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC provides Google Analytics 4 (cookieless pings before consent, analytics cookies only if you accept).
- Neon (Databricks, Inc.) runs the database that stores contact messages and click records, on servers in the United States, provided through Vercel.
These providers act on our instructions under data processing terms. Some of them are based in, or use servers in, the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on the EU Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
When you click a partner link, you leave our site. The institution then collects its own data under its own privacy policy, and may receive a click ID from us so it can tell that you came from EarnInterest.com.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, and where US state law gives you similar rights, you can:
- be informed about how your data is used (this page),
- access the data we hold about you, and get a copy,
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete,
- have your data erased or blocked,
- object to processing based on legitimate interest, or restrict processing,
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing,
- data portability, where it applies,
- claim damages if your data is misused, as provided by law.
To use any of these rights, send us a message through our contact form with the topic "Privacy request". We answer within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Complaints
If you're not happy with how we handled your data, please tell us first so we can fix it. You can also complain to a supervisory authority:
- Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (the Dutch Data Protection Authority), our lead authority, or the data protection authority in your EU country.
- United States: the attorney general or privacy agency of your state, where your state law provides one.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Access to contact messages and click data is limited to the people who need it to run the site.
Children
EarnInterest.com is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We will update this page, and its date, if the way we handle data changes.
